Music Director/Orchestra Conductor
Howard Stukey has been a conductor, performer, and teacher for over fifty years. He holds a music degree from Michigan State University with an emphasis in Education. After 36 years of teaching music in Michigan public schools (33 years in Adrian), he retired in 2008. He also served as an adjunct instructor at Adrian College.
As a performer, Howard has held positions with the Lansing Symphony, Twin Cities Symphony and Pops Orchestra, Adrian Symphony, Lenawee Pops, Mid-Michigan Symphony, Tecumseh Pops Orchestra, Demin, and Ventures in Jazz. He is a 60 year member of the Adrian City Band and a founding member of the Adrian Chamber Brass. His conducting experience includes Jr. High, High School, and College Band, Orchestra, and Choir. He has also served as assistant conductor of the Adrian Symphony and as conductor of the Tecumseh Pops Orchestra.
